Pastor Rodney was born and raised in Huntsville, AL. He surrendered to vocational ministry in 1994. He met his wife, Pamela, in Fort Worth, TX, where they were both attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. They married on October 18, 1997. Pastor Rodney received his MDIV, and Pamela received her Master of Music in Church Music in December of 1999. Pastor Rodney has served in various roles in churches across Texas, Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee.  He and Pamela are partners in ministry. She is his greatest encourager and supporter in ministry and life. They are the proud parents of four children: Nathan, who is married to Natalie, with their daughters, Noelle, Holly, and Piper; Micah, Caleb, and Caroline.  Pastor Rodney loves spending time with his family, watching Alabama football, quail hunting, fishing, and cooking. 

Brandon Edwards began serving as the Minister of Music at Waterville Baptist Church in April 2022.  He leads the congregation and choir in heartfelt worship each Sunday, honoring God and uniting the church family in praise. He enjoys and incorporates a variety of musical styles, including southern gospel, convention-style singing, traditional hymns, and contemporary worship songs, reflecting his belief that different styles of music can draw people closer to Christ in worship.

Brandon believes that as a worship leader, his role is first to be a lead worshiper—setting an example of genuine, spirit-led worship for the congregation. His goal each Sunday is not just to lead music, but to help others encounter the presence of God through song, reflection, and praise.

His passion for music ministry began at a young age while watching his father lead music at churches they attended.  Brandon began to lead in high school when he led worship for his youth group. He attended summer singing schools at North Georgia School of Gospel Music for four years and the Stamps-Baxter School of Gospel Music for two years. These experiences strengthened both his musical skills and his heart for ministry.

Beyond his work at church, Brandon is active in the local Emmaus community, where he continues to serve and encourage others through music and discipleship.

Brandon is married to Holly, who also serves faithfully in both the children’s and music ministries. Together, they are blessed with three children—Carter, Cate, and Claire—who are each actively involved in the youth and music ministries.  The Edwards family finds great joy in worshiping and serving the Lord together.

Pastor Matt High serves as the Student Pastor at Waterville Baptist Church, where he is passionate about spreading the Gospel, teaching the Bible, and discipling young people to become the next generation who will take up the cause of Christ. His prayer is that every student will come to a saving faith in Jesus and grow into a spiritually mature follower, prepared to make an eternal difference for the Kingdom.

Matt is married to Brandi High, and together they have a son, Mattox. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of West Georgia and a master’s degree from Georgia State University. He later graduated with high distinction from Liberty University with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Theology.”
