Our Story and Mission
Founded over 75 years ago, Waterville Baptist Church has been a cornerstone of faith and community in Cleveland, Tennessee. Our mission is to glorify God through worship, discipleship, and service. We are committed to fostering a welcoming environment where everyone can grow in their faith and contribute to the greater good. Our church is dedicated to serving our neighbors and spreading the message of hope and love.
Organizational Affiliation
At Waterville Baptist Church, we maintain our autonomy but voluntarily affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). We contribute to the SBC’s Cooperative Program, which supports missions and ministries and may partner with SBC entities. Annual meetings allow churches to participate in decision-making. This affiliation is based on shared beliefs and missions while preserving local autonomy.

At Waterville Baptist Church, we believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Our faith is rooted in the teachings of the Bible, which we uphold as the ultimate authority in our lives.
We are committed to worshiping God with sincerity and passion, fostering a community of believers who support and uplift one another. Our church values prayer as a powerful tool for spiritual growth and connection with God.
We strive to make disciples by sharing the Gospel and demonstrating Christ’s love through acts of service and compassion. Our mission is to be a beacon of hope and a source of strength for our community and beyond.

Welcome to Waterville Baptist Church
It is both my joy and honor to serve as the pastor of Waterville Baptist Church. Since October 28, 2023, I have had the privilege of leading this congregation, and I am continually amazed by the marvelous work the Lord has done in the life and ministry of our church over the past several years.
God has faithfully guided our church through challenging seasons prior to my arrival, and those experiences have strengthened and refined us. Today, our church is growing and passionately committed to reaching every generation—because we believe each generation is vital and valuable to the Kingdom of God.
As a preacher, I embrace an expositional style, focusing on preaching through entire books of the Bible. I believe this approach allows us to uncover deep, transformative truths found in Scripture. Throughout the year, I also incorporate topical series and special messages to address relevant themes and spiritual needs.
At heart, I am a pastor. I strive to shepherd the members of Waterville Baptist Church with integrity and compassion. I genuinely enjoy spending time with our church family, both on and off campus. I love this church and cherish every opportunity we have to gather as God’s people for worship, fellowship, and ministry.
Three words guide everything we do: Connect, Grow, and Serve. Each is essential to building a strong, healthy church that reflects Christ’s love and mission.
